Stunning modernism at its best, the Hormann LPU 42 Design L Ribbed sectional garage door Style 454 is an unusual combination of the smooth silky Silkgrain finish and magnificent stainless steel blocks. A neat stainless steel design at regular intervals sits along the side of the sectional door. Surprisingly this simple design creates a positive abstract effect. The engineering and manufacturing standards are stringent, achieving an excellence in build as well as design. Hormann sectional doors are tested and certified in accordance with the high safety requirements of the European Standard 13241-1. Incorporating various safety features – many unique to Hormann - such as finger trap protection, torsion springs that have a patented spring safety device to list just a couple.

The Hormann LPU 42 Design L-Ribbed sectional garage door is fully insulated, the panels have a 42mm filling of CFC-free rigid PU foam and seals around the edges of the door and between the panels, perfect for improving the temperature control within the garage. This substantial insulation also increases the stability of the door and quiet operation.

Surface Finishes
The finish of the Hormann LPU 42 L-Ribbed Silkgrain® door is the most beautiful smooth surface, almost like velvet to touch. On a practical level, the rich appearance is protected with a high quality polyester primer finish. The standard colour is Traffic white with a further 15 factory finished colours.

Handles
The Hormann LPU 42 is manufactured with no pre-drilled handle hole as standard. This is to offer a smooth door finish on doors with electric operation which do not require a handle. If a handle is required, a selection of handles are available from the selection below at a surcharge.

Suitable Operators
Both the Hormann Promatic and the Hormann Supramatic are the perfect remote controlled operators for the Hormann LPU 42. They both come supplied with an integral receiver, automatic locking, automatic safety cut-out, emergency release from inside, and a soft start/soft stop function to minimise door wear and tear.

Other remote transmitters and access control systems are available from the selection shown below and other controls are available to link in with Homelink systems and also vehicle transmitter systems.
