Electrical Recycling
WEEE Recycle
The UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations are now UK Law, with the aim of reducing the amount of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) waste.
Why Recycle?
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.
Recycle with us.
We are pleased to offer customers of The Garage Door Centre take-back of unwanted electrical items on delivery and installation of your new electric products. This is done on a like-for-like basis, for example if we install your new operator, we will take your old one away for free.
For supply only customers, if you purchase a new electrical product, for example an operator, you can return your old operator to us and we will dispose of it safely and stop it going to landfill. Customers must return their old electrical products to us at their own cost, within 28 days of purchasing their new product, to the following address:
The Garage Door Centre
29-31 Stewarts Road
Finedon Road Industrial Estate
Wellingborough
Northamptonshire
NN8 4RJ
To remind you that old electrical equipment can't be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.
