The Hormann 2013 Caxton cedarwood timber garage door is designed to look like a pair of traditional side-hinged timber garage doors. Grade A cedarwood is used for the main panel and the timber is fitted into the tried and tested Hormann steel chassis system avoiding the requirement for the timber to provide the stuctural integrity, relying on the far more reliable strength of galvanised steel box sections. It is available both manually or with a remote control electric operator for canopy and retractable gear types.
Whatever the style of your property, traditional or modern architecture, Hormann timber garage doors offer you the choice to find a style that will add warmth and character to your home. The main material used for these doors is carefully selected cedarwood, with its finely figured grain and variation in colour.
Manufactured to stringent German engineering standards, this timber garage door consists of a very simple symmetrical design and comes with a 10 year manufacturer warranty.
Sizes
Available in single standard sizes from 6'6"ft to 8'0ft wide. Available in one standard double size of 14'0ft wide. For made to measure and larger sizes using Hormann operating gear, contact us for details of the N80 & DF98 range.
Security
Hormann provide flawless security systems which are unique to their operating gears.
With the RETRACTABLE operating mechanism the door panel opens into the garage on horizontal rails with lifting springs at either side for absolute ease of use.
The finger-trap protection, a state-of-the-art multi-spring system, burglar-resistant latching and track roller wells offer precise guidance for the roller wheels making this door one of the very best in the UK.
The CANOPY operating mechanism offers a smooth, torsion spring assisted door using die-cast alloy cable drum, protective cover profiles on door edges and high security locking as standard. Canopy doors are only available up to 2438mm wide (8'0")
Both the retractable and canopy mechanisms are available with a sturdy galvanised steel box section fixing sub frame for easier installation and far better security and stability than a timber frame would offer. This steel sub frame is always factory fitted as standard.
Hormann timber doors come as standard with 2-point locking however 4-point locking is available for additional security.
The Hormann 2013 Caxton comes with a handle hole drilled with a plastic black nylon handle pack as standard however the following handles are available at a surcharge.

Timber needs protecting. That's why in addition to the factory impregnation it is important to apply a pigmented wood preservative to a timber garage door in order to protect it against atmospheric influences and the effects of UV rays. You can therefore blend in the door with the timber elements of your property. The Hormann 2013 Caxton timber door is available in the following 9 fantastic factory finished colours.
