If your garage is prone to letting in driving rain, leaves and debris then you may wish to consider a garage door weather seal. There are basically three different types that we would recommend for most up and over and side hinged garage doors:
The Garador Floor Seal
A thick durable black rubber seal that is glued and screwed to the garage floor forming an effective barrier up to ¾” high. This seal is particularly recommended if your garage door is electrically operated as any seal attached to the door would send a false message to the operator that the door was encountering an obstacle. As with any floor seal the floor does need to level.
The Hormann Weather Strip
This rubber weather strip affixes to the back of the Hormann up and over type garage door with self tapping screws. This weather seal is particularly suitable if the gap between the door and floor is less than ¾” as it is quite unobtrusive.
The Exitex Weather Seal
A tough flexible seal, affixed to the back of the door with self tapping screws, the Exitex comes with a deeper blade of 1 ½”. It also available in three different effects.
We do not recommend a brush strip as it does not really offer protection against rain and vermin can use it for easy access!

Please try to have as much information about your garage door as possible and the size of the gap you are trying to close up.
Of course, instead of rubber seals to your existing door why not consider a brand new garage door complete with weather seals as standard on ALL sides?! The sectional garage door has never been lower in price than right now, and on double width sizes it is quite often cheaper than a one piece up and over - and it is insulated!
Imagine driving home in a torrential downpour at night and being able to simply push a button from iside the comfort of your vehicle to enter your garage. Once inside close the door behind you and be rest assured that it is locked firmly against the weather and potential intruders.
The sectional garage door will outperform nearly every other type of garage door in all respects and all at unbelievable prices.
