New super insulated entrance doors from Hormann

The Thermopro range of insulated and highly stylish steel entrance doors have sold way beyond our expectations for the last few years and were originally perceived as entrance doors we would only ever sell when complimenting one of the superb Hormann LPU40 sectional garage doors as the colours, finishes and some of the styles were meant to achieve this. What we didn't expect was the demand for the entrance doors in their own right clearly filling a large gap in the UK market for a high quality, highly insulated and most importantly very secure entrance door. The fact that several ultra stylish modern designs were available was a bonus as these designs sit perfectly with so many homeowners refurbishing and modernising their homes as well as modern new builds incorporating the latest in energy conserving building products.

The Thermopro range has been a huge success and now for 2013 we have the Thermopro PLUS option and 2 new designs to add to the modern styles available.

The Thermopro PLUS quite simply is the Thermopro door but with a 65mm thick panel and an 80mm aluminium sub frame rather than the standard 46mm door panel of the standard door using a 60.5mm sub frame.

The frame is also PU foam filled for additional insulation properties.

The 20mm threshold is triple sealed as opposed to double sealed.

U value up to 1.0 W/(m2.k) makes a significant change on the 1.2W W(m2.k) of the standard Thermopro.

Continuous aluminium safety strip for added security in the frame design.

The 2 new designs are the TPS750 and the TPS850 both available in all the preferred colours Hormann offer as well as the Decograin colour options.

In the launch of these new doors Hormann also took the decision to offer only 2 standard sizes - 1000 x 2100 and 1100 x 2100 but the made to measure door sizes have always been the higher volume of sales ensuring a perfect fit for your entrance door and frame. Made to measure sizes are available from 875 - 1250mm wide and 1990 - 2250mm high in most of the designs.

The side elements and top transom sections available have now also been increases in range with side lights available up to 1000mm wide and 2250mm high in both Thermopro and the PLUS option where the frame is 80mm thick of course.
