Hormann EPU40 Sectional Door to Finish Production
After many years of selling the popular EPU40 insulated sectional garage doors Hormann have decided to finish the range after July 2014.
The EPU 40 is a sectional door produced by Hormann and offering insulation but using a 20mm thick panel rather than the now almost standard 40 - 45 mm thick panel. Over the last year or so bearing in mind the designs are limited in this range it has caused more confusion as so many of Hormanns newer finishes and colours have not been available in the EPU40 and only in the LPU40 door range.
The EPU40 is to be finished this July (2014) and although there will be some stock left for a while the 20mm door will soon be a thing of the past. Hormann do however still retain their LTE40 single skin door if price is the only issue in the purchase of a new sectional door. Although it is not insulated it does have exactly the same weatherseals as the LPU40 door offering proper sealing inbetween each panel and all around the perimeter to prevent water and dust from getting onto the garage.
The insulated panel is probably a must for any integral garage but not so necessary for a detached garage although the panel strength is certainly a lot better on a 42mm thick door than something with only single skin steel.
