Excel Roller Door Improvements
It is always great to hear when an already fantastic door is improved upon, and the Excel has recently seen another upgrade. It’s constantly being worked on to further its security levels, helping to protect homes and garages throughout the country.
Better Sealed! With Improved Feet…
The SeceuroGlide Excel, the Secured by Design LPCB roller garage door, is now equipped with improved feet. This may sound like a minor change, but allow us to explain…
The rubber bottom edge is at the bottom of the door, and is there to seal down, as well as provide the safety technology.
The new and improved feet mean that it is now able to seal down even more firmly. This is because the steel foot has been cut out on the bottom where it meets the ground below the rubber.
In the former model, the rubber would have a potential of not sealing to the ground where it reached the steel guides, especially on a fit between the lintels. Now, that risk has been eliminated and the rubber can seal down to the ground, even where it enters the guides with the locking bottom slat.
Secured by Design
What sets this roller door ahead in the first place?
It is constructed as a roller garage door for your garage, but with security in mind. Its high quality components and additional security features make it one of the best on the market, and it’s even manufactured in the UK.
The high quality door has been thoroughly tested before achieving the prestigious Secured by Design accreditation. The Secured by Design initative is approved by UK Police and insurance companies to ensure good security products for homes.
Many roller garage doors throughout the country would certainly not pass these rigorous tests, and so our experts are proud to recommend, specify and install these doors.
