To define a luxury steel up and over door, it features high level finish options in colours and woodgrain effects and more enhanced designs. Electric operation is included as standard and a mechanism which is optimized for maximum benefits in daily use.
Retractable PLUS operating gear for example, where the side arms are lifted higher and cranked to give maximum width where the car wing mirrors are (4x4s a different matter). Also, electric operation which includes a security de latching device to provide minimum 3 point locking, automatically engaging whenever the door opens and closes via the remote handset control.
This category for a price range refers to a retractable operated mechanism with a choice of finishes including all the hardware required, as well as a steel box section outer fixing frame to replace any timber frame used. This provides a better overall operation and a 10 year guarantee. Additional options are included such as emergency release in case of power failure, enhanced locking and enhanced external handle.

Colours and Finishes
Many RAL colour finishes are offered as standard, with modern colours such as Anthracite Grey, but there is also a range of more traditional colours such as Chartwell Green or Stone Grey.
Security
The security will be very good on a door specified with a minimum 2 point latching, with the locking provided by the electric operator too. Along with a steel sub frame and tighter tolerances all round, the overall effect is pretty good.

The one advantage that one piece up and over garage doors have over roll and sectional doors is that they can have a vast array of designs simply because the door panel is one piece. The designer elements and various window options for so many styles are far greater than other door types.
A well specified and designed up and over door will outlast many other doors types so as long as you are happy with the swing out along with the drive through width.
Up and over garage doors are always a strong choice, and may only seem expensive because of how many cheap roller garage doors are now sweeping across the UK.
