The electric insulated aluminium roller door is one of the most popular types of garage doors in the UK as they can fit into most garages, regardless of size and shape.
Single width garage sizes are generally between about 2.2m and 2.6m wide and around 2m - 2.2m high and the doors are always made to measure to the millimetre.

Every electric aluminium roller shutter garage door we offer is made to measure to the millimetre and either fits behind, in-between of in front of the brickwork opening.
Most roller doors are fitted to the inside face of the brickwork opening to maximise the drivethrough and neatly hide all the guides and other working parts from the outside with the curtain roll neatly sitting behind the lintel.
High quality, foam filled aluminium curtain slats are offered in various sizes and finer details for the front face can make a huge final difference to the appearance.
Patented locking devices for the curtain when fully closed aldo offer varying degrees of security.
There are so many high quality finished colours to choose from including wood grain options in paint or laminate foil coatings. Our standard electric roller doors are far from standard in the general market and offer the highest quality and real warranties for peace of mind. Security
Most of the aluminium roller doors we offer have a locking system built onto the barrel which lifts the curtain and a system will hold the curtain closed against attempted force. The Seceuroglide Classic and Excel both use a patented steel tooth system for holding the curtain firmly in place in a secondary position, and the Excel version has a certification to prove its worthiness. LPS1175 certified.
Colours
For this price example we are using one of the standard 16 solid colour options available There are several woodgrain laminate foil options also available at a small surcharge along with options to match specific special colour ranges and also a wider range of Renolit laminate foil finishes. You certainly will find a colour to work within the range offered on our aluminium roller doors
Ease of Use
Operate the door with a simple press of the button either on one of the 2 hand transmitters supplied or the wall-mounted control station which sits inside your garage, featuring a built-in courtesy light. If there is a power cut then you have to enter the garage by another door and release the motor drive to operate the door manually which will be quite effortless. If there is no other access then there is a release mechanism which is attached to the handle or drilled into the panel as a key release mechanism with cable attachment.

If you are going to buy an electric roller garage door and also want some insulating properties and the aluminium double skinned curtain, then please ensure you do a lot of research, because as previously mentioned, they do tend to all look the same in pictures. If you could see internally the massive difference in component relevance in a product which has so many moving parts, all under stress when operating, then you would perhaps see how a cheap, inferior built roller garage door is the worst type of garage door you can buy.
* A good roller door will have been tested over many years and all the issues ironed out.
* A good electric roller garage door will have a genuine minimum 5 year minimum guarantee and certification for compliance and quality with some also achieving security ratings too.
* A good quality electric insulated aluminium roller garage door will cost you between £1,500 and £2,600 for a single size and that is the same anywhere around the UK.
You should ask yourself if you really require any remote control operation because a recent RAC study discovered over 65% of garages are never used for storing a vehicle in. If you dont put your car in the garage and you still want an electric roller shutter door, then why not just have a ismpler wall mouted button operation? Have an external key switch as well maybe? Why have remote controls if you are entering on foot? Also, if you have the simpler button or key control then you wont require any safety detection either, saving you money and complex electronics.
